________________ Pudukkottai District 311 Tamil Laiguage and Script Contents Records gift of 2 ma of land as paļļichchandam in Periyapallivayal to the god Tirumalai alvar. The land was granted by Dharmadēva - āchārya, the disciple of Kanakachandrapaņạita and the disciple (name lost) of Tiruppaļļimalai alvar. The boundaries of the land are also mentioned in the inscription. Reference ARE, 367/1904, PSI, No. 474, SII, Vol. XVII, No. 397. Remarks The hill which bears the name Āļurupțimalai was once called Tiruppallimalai and the presiding deity of the hill was known as Tiruppal!imalai - alvar.
