________________ Anna District No. 11 Village Taluk District Findspot Dynasty King Date Language and Script Contents Reference Remarks Aiyyampalayam (Aivarmalai) Palani Aņņā Below the tenth image in Aivarmalai (Pānḍya) A.D. 9th century characters Tamil, Vatteluttu 11 States that the image was caused to be made by Malliśēnapperiyar of Perumaḍai, belonging to the Virasangha. ARE, 697/1905, SII, Vol. XIV, No. 113. Mallisēnapperiyar was one of the monks of the Virasangha established at Tirunagungondai. Perumaḍai seems to be identical with Perumanḍur in South Arcot district.
