(Pāṇḍya) A.D. 9th century characters Tamil, Vaṭṭeluttu States that the image was caused to be made by Varadapāņi of the village Vaḍapaļļiāramvicci. ARE, 691/1905, SII, Vol. XIV. No. 107. The village Vaḍapalli-äramvicci has not been identified. (The reading of the name of the village is doubtful).
