Dynasty Chola King Rājēndra Chola I Date 8th regnal year (1020 A.D.) Tamil Language and Script Contents States that Pondi-Muratpuļi of Veņkungakkottam consecrated the images of Cholakērala-Viņņagar Emperumān (Vişņu) of the western temple, Manukulamādévisvaramudaiyār (Siva) of Srikailāsam temple, Virakēraļaperumpalli, Uttarādėvi and Ambalanangai (Durga) as a protection of the city (Salukki) and made provisions for worship etc., in the first two temples and also made gifts of land to all these temples by assigning the villages of Eğumbūr, Kugumbūr, Viraperumbākkam and Ilappai.
