Jaina Inscriptions in Tamilnadu ARE, 330/1908. The natural cavern, containing a number of rock-cut beds, at this place is locally known as Seṭṭippoḍavu. Images of Jaina deities are carved on the vertical surface of the rock nearby. Gunaśênadeva, who was the presiding monk of the Jaina establishment at Kugandi, was also in-charge of the palli at Kilakkuḍi and Pechchipallam.
