It is our earnest hope that the publication of the book, at this juncture, will prove immensely beneficial to the students of the various courses in the Department of Jainology, University of Madras, and to the Researchers and Scholars.
Dr. A. EKAMBARANATHAN, Department of Ancient History & Archaeology, University of Madras and Dr. C.K. SIVAPRAKASAM, Department of History, A.V V.M. Sri Pushpam College, Poondi, Thanjavur, took lot of pains in compiling the information about the Jaina inscriptions spread all over TamilNadu. They have included views of some reputed scholars also.
