This shrine is 68 Kms away from Mangalore on Mangalore-Shimoga road and is 16 Kms away from Karkal. In Varang village, the temple is 500 meters from the bus stand. There is a tar road upto the lake. Country boats are available for going to temple in the lake. Mudbidri is 39 Kms, Dharmasthal 92 Kms, Venur 65 Kms, Belur-Halebid 271 Kms and Shravanbelgola is 351 Kms away from here. At present there is no arrangement available for lodging here, but in emergency 25 people can stay in Jain Math here. Humbaj is the main headquarters.
