Bhonsi is the name of village at the base of the mountain. Mandaryarvat is the railway station here which is close to the dharmashala at the base. From the base the ascent to the Mount is about 3 Kms, One has to walk all the way to temple on top, however chair-carriers are available for those who cannot walk it up. Car and buses can go upto the the base of the Mount. This shrine is 55 Kms away from Bagalpur.
