A meeting with New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley
Indian as well as foreign leaders have come under the sway of Rev Shri Amrender Muni Ji's radiant personality. The reason for this is the depth of his wisdom which is a combination of knowledge and practicality, as well as his personal charisma.
In his meeting with Acharya Amrender Muni Ji, Senator Bill Bradley expressed a desire to know more about Jain philosophy. Acharya Shri Amrender Muni Ji : Jain philosophy's unique principles are ahinsa, astay, satya, brahmacharya, aparigraha and anekant. These are worthy principles from whichever angle you look at them. However the way in which the six dravyas (6 elements) and nine tatvas (9 substances) have been enumerated is truly unique. In Jain philosophy everything has been explained in a scientific manner.
Jiva, ajiva, punya, paap, ashrav, samvar, nirjara, bandh and mokshaThese are the 9 tatvas. The tatvas are linked with the atma or soul. Jiva: That which has a soul. One in whom the desire to learn is presentie the atman or soul is jiva. Jiva is the most important of the 9 tatvas. Ajiva: That which is without a soul; devoid of the desire to learn is ajiva. Punya: Virtue. Positive attitude is a punya. Paap: Sin. Negative thinking is paap. Ashrav: Path of karma. One who is tied to his karma is called “ashrav”
