The Great Sadhvi Shri Mrigavati Ji's life tenure extended only over six decades, out of which she spent 48 years as a Jain sadhvi. This blessed daughter of Lala Shri Dungarsibhai Sanghvi was born in Saurashtra. At the age of 12 she received 'diksha' from her own worldly mother, Kadhvi Ji Shri Shilvati Shri Ji Maharaj and became the disciple of Jain Acharya Shri Vallabh Surishwarji Maharaj. With the courtesy Pt. Shri Sukhlal Ji, Pt. Shri Bechardass Ji and Pt. Shri Dalsukhbhai Mala Vryan, she practised Jain Agams' and made a comparative study of Jain, Baudh and Vedic traditions.

The tasks of construction and installation through her inspiration and blessings are numerous. The concrete monuments of Shri Mrigavati Ji Maharaj's unique and boundless glory stand glacefully at many places like Ludhiana, Kangra, Chandigarh, Malerkotla Sardhana, Raikot, Jagadhri, Agra, Mujjafarnagar, Jharia, Daharu, Chlkmangloor, Ambala, Delhi, Bombay and Mysore.

The deeds for the welfare of the entire humanity accomplished through Mahattra's sermons and contacts are the things of glory for the Jain society. Several hospitals schools and colleges, dispensaries, city-improvement plans and plans for rendering help to the needy, industrial centres, dharam- shalas, guest houses and development of places of pilgrimage, gaushalas, and activities for helping the famine sufferers are the results of her inspiration.
