इन्द्रियों से सुसंवृत्त, षड्जीवनिकाय—पृथ्वी, अप, तेजस्, वायु, वनस्पति और त्रस के सम्यक् प्रकार से रक्षक, सात भयों-इहलोक, परलोक, आदान, अकस्मात्, आजीविका, अपयश, और मृत्यु भय से विमुक्त, आठ मदस्थानों-जाति, कुल, बल, रूप, लाभ, तप, ज्ञान और सत्ता मद से रहित, नवविध ब्रह्मचर्य के पालक एवं दस प्रकार की समाधि से संयक्त होते हैं और अनेक प्रकार के निकृष्ट तथा कलुषित पाप कर्मों का क्षय करते हैं। वे यहाँ से च्युत/मरण प्राप्त कर सद्गतिगामी होते हैं।
2. Those beings, who are free of sins are spared of foetal experience. They abstain from all killing. Their mode of life is just the reverse of what has been delineated above. They are ever sinfree, restrained, profoundly accomplished, and free from attraction-aversion. Their thinking, speech and actions are restrained and least offensive. They are protected from the sin of wrong perspective. They guard their self cautiously. The four sins of wrath, vanity, attachment and avarice touch them not. They are unencumbered with empire, female, abode and follower. They follow the five-fold observance of non-violence, truth, non-stealing, continence and non-acquisition. Their five senses are well under control. They afford full protection to all living beings, earth, water, fire, air and vegetation. They have least fear of world, heavens, loss of livelihood, infamy and death. They have no vanity of caste, family, strength, looks, wealth, penance, knowledge and status. They observe nine varieties of continence and ten kinds of meditation. They are ridded of all sins and they glide into higher realms hereafter.
(3.) ते णं, भगवं, सुत्तमग्गाणुसारी खीणकसाया दन्तेन्दिया सरीरसाधारणऽट्ठा जोगसंधाणताए णवकोडीपरिसुद्धं दसदोसविप्पमुक्कं उग्गमुप्पायणासुद्धं इतराइतरेहिं कुलेहिं परकडं परणिट्टितं विगतिंगालं विगतधूमं पिण्ड सेज्जं उवधिं च गवसमाणा संगतविणयोवगारसालिणीओ कलमधुररिभितभासिणीओ संगतगतहसितभणितसुन्दरथणजहणपडिरूवाओ इत्थियाओ पासित्ता णो मणसा वि पाउब्भावं गच्छन्ति। ____ 3. अतः हे भगवन्! सूत्र-प्रतिपादित मार्ग का अनुसरण करने वाले वे मुमुक्षु प्राणी क्षीण-कषायी और जितेन्द्रिय होते हैं। वे शरीरधारण और योगसाधन के लिए नवकोटिविशुद्ध, दस दोषों से रहित, उद्गम और उत्पादन के दोषों से मुक्त, विभिन्न कुलों में दूसरे के द्वारा बनाया हुआ और दूसरे के लिए निष्पादित, अग्नि और
