5. करेमि भंते सूत्र
(KAREMI-BHANTE SOOTRA)
करेमि भंते! सामाइयं, सावज्जं जोगं
KAREMI BHANTE ! SAMAIYAM, SAVAJJAM JOGAM
पच्चक्खामि, जाव नियमं पज्जुवासामि,
PACCHAKKHAMI, JAVA NIYAMAM PAJJUVASAMI
दुविहं तिविहेणं, मणेणं बाधाए कारण,
DUVIHAM TIVIHENAM, MANENAM VAYAE KAYENAM,
न करेमि, न कारवेमि, तस्स भंते
NA KAREMI, NA KARAVEMI, TASSA BHANTE
पडिक्कमामि, निंदामि गरिहामि, अप्पाणं वोसिरामि ॥ 1 ॥
PADIKKAMAMI, NINDAMI, GARIHAMI, APPANAM VOSIRAMI
भावार्थ: इस सूत्र में सामायिक ग्रहण करने का और सावद्य योग रूप पाप का त्याग करने का पच्चक्खाण है। अर्थात- मन-वचन-काया से कोई भी पाप न करने, न कराने एवं सामायिक के नियम तक समभाव में रहने का बतलाया है।
EXPLANATION: In this sootra, after accepting the vow of samayika we should not do any sinful act, we should be away from speaking ill of others and from gossiping unneccessarily, but we should study religious scriptures and we should pass our time in reading or in learning new religious lessons and we should turn over the bids of rosary. The vow of samayika means the process of self-experiencing. The equality with all the beings in this whole universe and it means also prohibiting the new karmas from joining or intermingling of the karmas with our own soul particles during the specified period of forty-eight minutes as prescribed by the omniscients In samayika we should not touch the raw water, the raw earth, the fire, the wind, the vegetables, the opposite sex or the women and the money, nor we should use any electrical appliance
श्रेणिक महाराजा अपने नरक आयुष्य को मिटाने के लिए पुणिया श्रावक से मात्र एक सामायिक का फल मांगते हुए।
