only bliss, nothing else. To reach this state of sameness (Samatva) one has to give up ‘mine'ness (mamatva). In this state Atman shines in its pristine purity. In this state of permanent bliss, neither worldly pain nor pleasure exist. 40 It is a real state of liberation. Yaśovijaya, tells that for common people it (Samasā) is a means to achieve liberation but for liberated, it is a state of liberation itself.
This work of the author is undoubtedly an out-come of profound knowledge and experience. His originality can be seen in presenting the same old ideal presented by Umāsvāti in a different and convincing manner. He tries to reconcile different philosophical view-points on the basis of Anekāntavāda. Yaśovijaya's speciality here is, like Upanisadic sages, he describes his mystical experience in similar terms. This book of the learned author is a very important contribution to philosophy and deserves more attention of the orholars of comparative religion and philosophy. Footnotes : 1.
