The whole world is striving for greatness but greatness is obtained only by the hand that does great things.
It is difficult to give away one's money, it does not occur to perform austerities, the mind desires happiness but through wealth it is unable to enjoy it.
A simple hut is possessed of five (persons ) all these five think differently, O sister, how can such a house live well when the whole family follows its own whim ? ( Other meaning-Our body has five main Indriyas, if they do not work in harmony then physical and mental health suffers.)
Just as there are many good men, so there are many struggles, there are rivers and there are turnings, there are hills and there are valleys. O heart, why are you depressed ?
What a great distance there is between the moon and the ocean and between the peacock and the cloud ? There is uncommon friendship between good people however distanced they may be.
Here clouds drink water, here the sub-marine fire (Heat at the bottom of the sea) is agitating, behold the depth of the ocean, not a drop is lessened.
Probably even sages are wrong, they simply count beads, they do not become merged in that highest place which is free from danger and is everlasting
On oath I tell you, His life alone is fruitful who does not loose generosity, nor valour nor piety.
