Hemchandracharya had a special place in the king's court. The King regularly payed his respects to Hemchandracharya and received his blessing.
During these years Hemchandra's literary journey continued. He wrote another mammoth work called "Trishasti Shalaka Purush Charitra". This book is written in prose and containes 36,000 shlokas. It narrates the lives of 24 Tirthankaras and other eminent personalities. 63 Charitra or biographies are narrated in this volume. The book provides absorbing reading, describing many aspects of human life.
Hemchandra's book on yoga is also famous. "Yog-Shastra" describes all aspects of Patanjal and Jain Yoga systems. It explaines Jain codes of conduct as well.
Acharya has written books on the science of poetry. "Kavyanusashan" details poetry and its composition. Aspects such as modes and the 9 major features of any work of literature ( Nav Ras) are descried. His "Chhandonusashan" explains the various mitres (Chhandas),giving diverse and varied examples .
He has produced different lexicones. One book lists plants and herbs. His book on logic "Praman Mimmasa" and "Anya yog vyavchhed Dwatrinshika" are also famous. "Desi Nam Mala" lists archaic words and is a valuable source for all linguists. Examples given in this book also depict the life of common people during this period. The English translation of some of his verses are given in this book.
