However, disregarding all the judicial decisions and orders in this matter a situation has been created. whereby the religious sentiments of the Shwetambari Jain Community have been offened by the following acts of the Digambaris of far reaching consequences overriding their right and priviledges in the temple and property.
(1) Illegal installation of New Digambari idols in the
temple. (2) Removal of Chhatra (Umbrella over the deity) and
installing a new Digambar Chhatra (3) Encroachment in the temple by occupying more
and more space as part of the office. (4) Writing above the idols, "Digambar Jain Idols"
and "Digambar Jain Temple" in oil paints- (so the temple and idol should appear to be that of
Digambari sect) (5) Tying of ropes inside the temple obstructing
worship. (6) Placing Digambari idols in the compound and
cccupying open space Obstructing worship of "Padmavati Devi' since 27th December 1966 by physical force. Have taken forcible possession of old Pavii temple, outside town, by locking it and disallowing Shwetambaris to enter, etc.
The Digambar Jains to whom the right to worship only was conceded in 1905 by the Shwetambaris as a peaceful settlement of the whole issue, and whose efforts for other rights, have been rejected by High Courts of Law, have committed the above acts illegally, amounting to criminal trespass and encroachments. Our Community in India is deeply agitated and disturbed at such violation of our religious sentiments. and view the present situation with deep concern.
Therefore, we the representatives of Shwetambari Tains in India, approach your Honour, to intervene in the interest of natural Justice, to uphold the decisions of the
