Kite & Key experiment કરનાર બેન્જામીન ફેંકલીન નામના વૈજ્ઞાનિકે ૧૭પરની સાલમાં શોધ કરીને જાહેર કરેલ છે કે આકાશમાં થતી વીજળી અને વાયરમાંથી પસાર થતી ઈલેક્ટ્રીસીટી –આ બન્ને એક જ છે. આ વિગત ઈન્ટરનેટ દ્વારા જાણી શકીએ છીએ.

'Tell me why ?' HHH 420 541 'Who first flew kites ?' પ્રકરણમાં Arkady Leokum જણાવે છે કે “In 1752 Benjamin Franklin flew a silk kite in a thunderstorm and he used it to prove that lightning and electricity are the same thing' (પેઈજ-૨૩૭)
અર્થ : “૧૭૫ની સાલમાં બેન્જામીન ફેંકલીને રેશમી પતંગ તોફાની વાતાવરણમાં ઉડાડ્યો અને તેનો ઉપયોગ તેણે આકાશીય વીજળી અને ઈલેકટ્રીસીટી- આ બન્ને એક જ ચીજ છે- તેની સિદ્ધિ માટે કર્યો હતો.”
