four directions. (3) Trees bow to him. (4) A Dund. ubha is heard being beaten. (ૐ) Thorns yield under his steps. (6) Mild and fragrant breezes gently blow all around. (7) Birds circumambulate him. (8) Gods let down a shower of blooms. (9) Sweet seented showers of water cool the earth, (10) Hair, nails etc. do not grow. (11) A number of gods wait upon him every day. (12) Seasons and objects of senses are favourable to him. (13) Three eoneentrie ramparts (Vports) are erected round his lecture-hall (Samavasarana). 14, When he walks, golden lotuses are always placed by gods under his sacred feet. (15) Chamaras, (16) & throne, (17) three canopies (18) a flag studded with jewels and (19) an As'oka tree are associated with his presence.

જીવન્મુકિતને પ્રાપ્ત કરનારા એ પ્રકારના છે—એક તા “ તીર્થ”અને ખીજા - તીર્થંકર નામકમ રહિત સામાન્ય ધ્રુવળી ”. આ એ પ્રકારના “ જીવન્મુકતા, ” કે જે વિશ્વને અભય આપનાર છે અને નિર્દેણુરૂપ ફળને આપવામાં કલ્પક્ષસમાન છે, તેઓ જુદા જુદા દેશમાં વિહાર કરી ૧ જીવેને, તેમના અંતઃકરણુમાંના લાંબા સમયના પ્રબળ કૅમરૂપ મળતે ધાત્રામાં જળ સમાન દેશના આપે છે. ”—૧૦
