there are various other useful contributions in the shape of notices of the lives of the different holy men (yatis and sadhus) who have written the poems and footnotes to explain the text. The Ramayan invites an extended notice, as
there are numerous points on which observations can be made in respect of the subject matter of the poem as viewed from the stand. points of the Jains and non-Jains, as to who has imitated whom, as to the sanctity attached. by each to the personality of the Hindu heroes, etc etc On the whole we think these contribution: are of great use to our literature.

(સશોધન અને સંગ્રહકર્તા શ્રીયુત જીવણચંદ સાકરચંદ ઝવેરી.) શેઠ દેવચંદ લાલચ≠ જૈન પુસ્તકોદ્ધાર કુંડ તરફથી આ વીશત્રુ પુસ્તક પ્રગટ થાય છે. શ્રીકેશરાજપ્રણીત રામરાસના પ્રાચીન કાવ્યાના આ ગ્રંથમાં સંગ્રહ છે. આ ગ્રંથનું મૂળ વસ્તુ ત્રિષષ્ટિશલાકાપુરૂષચરિત્રના સાતમાં પર્વમાં આવેલ જૈનરામાચણુ (તેમજ પદ્મચરિત્ર) ઉપરથી (રચવામાં આવ્યુ છે) પરિત્ર સવ૧૬૦ માં રચાએલ હાય એમ અનુમાન થાય છે. તે ઉપરથી પ્રાચીન ભાષાક્ષેત્રમાં જૈનસમાજનાં પ્રવૃત્તિ અને ગૌરવ જોઇ શકાય છે.
