મનની પાષાણથી પણ વિશેષ કઠોરતા.
मन्ये मनो यन्न मनोज्ञवृत्त, त्वदास्यपीयूष मयूखलाभात् । द्रुतं महानंदरसं कठोरमस्मादृशां देव तदश्मतोपि ॥७॥
અમૃત ઝરે તુજ મુખરૂપી ચંદ્રથી તે પણ પ્રભુ, ભિજાય નહિ મુજ મન અરેરે! શું કરું હું તે વિભુ; પત્થરથકી પણ કઠણ મારું મન ખરે ક્યાંથી દ્રવે, મરકટ સમા આ મનથકી હું તે પ્રભુ હાર્યો હવે.
Though the neetar is flowing Form your moon like face o God It does not make my mind wet What should I do O God? More hard than the stone is my mind. How can it become soft ? Oh God I am completely defeated By this monkey type mind.
અર્થ:-આનંદદાયક વર્તનવાળા હે પ્રભુ! તમારા મુખરૂપી ચંદ્રના દર્શનનો લાભ થયા છતાં પણ આનંદરૂપી રસ મારા મનમાંથી ઝર્યો નહિ; તેથી હું ધારું છું કે મારું મન પાષાણથી પણ વધારે કઠેર છે.
