According to the first tradition, the present Āgama has ten Adhyayanas. The Sthānānga Sūtra supports it. The Sthānānga mentions the tco Adhyayanas and their headings, such as Nami, Mātanga, Somila, Ramagupta, Sudarsana, Jamäti, Bhagāli, Kimkașa, Cilawaka, Pāla, and the Ambashthaputtra. These headings are fou d in the Tatwārthavartika aiso with some variance, such as, Nami, Mātang, Somila, Ramaguptā, Sudarśana, Yamalika, Kambala, Pāla and Ambaşthaputtra. Samawayanga mentions ten adhayans without giving their names. The present Āgama gives an account of the Antaksīta Kcwalis, in groups of ten contemporaries of cach Tirthankara. The Jayadhawala, too. supports this statement of the Tatwārthavrāt.ka. In the Nandisutra mention is found neither of the ten Adhyayabas nor of their headings. On this basis, it can be inferred that the Samawāyanga and the Tatwārthavartika maintain the old tradition and the Nandi-Sutra gives the Agama in the form found at present. There are ten Adhyayanas of the first Varga out of the eight Vargas found at present, but their headings altogether differ from the abovc- said headings. i.c., Gautama, Samudra, Sāgara, Gambhira, Stanita, Acala Kāmpilya, Aksetra, Prasenjit and Vişnu. In the 'Sthänăngavritti' Sri Abhayadeva Suri acknowledges it as a variant 'Vācna. This shows that the Vaena' of the 'Nandi' is different from the 'Vāónā 'found in the 'Samawāyānga'.
The word 'Antagada' has two Sanskrit forms.Antakrita and Antakrit. Both have the same sense but 'gāda' goes more with the Sanskrit version Ksita' so far as morphology is concerned.

The Content
This Agama gives an excellent account of Vasudeva Krisna and his family. The Diksā (initiation) and accomplishment of Gajasukamāla, the younger brother of Vasudeva Krişna has been horripiliatingly narrated.
In the sixth Varga, is found an account of the incident occured with Ariuna, the gardener. An accident turned him to be a murderer and the other association made him a saint. It may not be admitted that a man changes with the circumstances and atmosphere, but, even then, it may be accepted that they are the cause of the rise and fall of a man.
