why we had to keep the dubious reading 'jo tam annam' intact.
The scribe, in some places, makes the text inordinately abridged, for instance, 'kamajalamsi thanam säti (13/9). These words are not even preceded by any symbol indicating incompleteness. Many a difficuity and even confusion arises in the constitution of the text on account of such device of abridgement.

The forms of abridgement are variously indicated by different symbols such
as

evam-evam pippalagäim (1/24-26).
