Presently, there are one hundred and thirtyeight Satas (Satakas) and one thousand and ninehundred and twentyfive Uddeśakas. The first thirytwo Satakas are independent ones. The seven Satakas, from thirtythree to thirtynine, are unions of twelve satakas each. The fortieth śataka is a union of twentyone śatakas. The forty-first śataka is independent. In all, there are one hundred and thiryeight śatakas. In them, fortyone śatakas are cardinals and the rest are secondary ones.
