[व्यवहारसूत्र सूत्र 15-17 15 20-23 न देकर या दे दिया हो तो उसे हटाकर अन्य योग्य भिक्षु को पद दिया जा सकता है। जो उसका खोटा पक्ष करें, वे सभी प्रायश्चित्त के पात्र होते हैं। नवदीक्षित भिक्षु के शीघ्र ही योग्य हो जाने पर १२वीं रात्रि के पूर्व बड़ीदीक्षा दे देनी चाहिये। उसके उल्लंघन करने पर प्राचार्य-उपाध्याय को यथायोग्य तप या छेद प्रायश्चित्त आता है एवं सत्तरहवीं रात्रि का उल्लंघन करने पर तप या छेद प्रायश्चित्त के अतिरिक्त एक वर्ष के लिए पदमुक्त होने का प्रायश्चित्त भी आता है। यदि बड़ीदीक्षा के समय का उल्लंघन करने में नवदीक्षित के माता-पिता आदि पूज्य पुरुषों की दीक्षा का कारण हो तो उत्कृष्ट छः मास तक दीक्षा रोकने पर भी प्रायश्चित्त नहीं पाता है। अन्य गण में अध्ययन आदि के लिये गये भिक्षु को किसी के द्वारा पूछने पर प्रथम सर्वरत्नाधिक का नाम बताना चाहिये / उसके बाद आवश्यक होने पर सर्वबहुश्रुत का नाम निर्देश करना चाहिए। वजिका (गोपालक बस्ती) में विकृति सेवन हेतु जाने के पूर्व स्थविर की अर्थात् गुरु आदि की प्राज्ञा लेना आवश्यक है, आज्ञा मिलने पर ही जाना कल्पता है / चरिकाप्रविष्ट या चरिकानिवृत्त भिक्षु को प्राज्ञाप्राप्ति के बाद 4-5 दिन में गुरु आदि के मिलने का प्रसंग पा जाय तो उसी पूर्व की आज्ञा से विचरण या निवास करना चाहिए, किन्तु 4-5 दिन के बाद अर्थात् आज्ञाप्राप्ति से अधिक समय बाद गुरु आदि के मिलने का प्रसंग या जाय तो सूत्रोक्त विधि से पुन: आज्ञा प्राप्त करके विचरण कर सकता है। रत्नाधिक भिक्षु को अवम रानिक भिक्षु की सामान्य सेवा या सहयोग करना ऐच्छिक होता है और अवमरानिक भिक्षु को रत्नाधिक भिक्षु की सामान्य सेवा या सहयोग करना आवश्यक होता है / रत्नाधिक भिक्षु यदि सेवा-सहयोग न लेना चाहे तो आवश्यक नहीं होता है। अवमरानिक भिक्षु ग्लान हो तो रत्नाधिक को भी उसकी सेवा या सहयोग करना आवश्यक होता है / अनेक भिक्षु, अनेक आचार्य-उपाध्याय एवं अनेक गणावच्छेदक आदि कोई भी यदि साथ-साथ विचरण करें तो उन्हें परस्पर समान बन कर नहीं रहना चाहिए, किन्तु जो उनमें रत्नाधिक हो उसकी प्रमुखता स्वीकार करके उचित विनय एवं समाचारीव्यावहार के साथ रहना चाहिए। 24-25 26-32 उपसंहार इस उद्देशक मेंआचार्य उपाध्याय गणावच्छेदक के विचरण करने में साधुओं की संख्या का, सूत्र 1-10
