पांचवां उद्देशक] सूत्र 11 12 13-14 15-17 18-21 22-32 [247 गोचरी करते हुए कभी आहार में सचित्त बीज, रज या त्रस जीव आ जाए तो उसे सावधानीपूर्वक निकाल देना चाहिए। यदि नहीं निकल सके तो उतना संसक्त आहार परठ देना चाहिये। गोचरी करते हुए कभी आहार में सचित्त जल की बूदें आदि गिर जाएँ तो गर्म आहार को खाया जा सकता है और ठण्डे साहार को परठ देना चाहिये। रात्रि में मल-मूत्र त्याग करती हुई निर्ग्रन्थी के गुप्तांगों का कोई पशु या पक्षी स्पर्श या अवगाहन करें और निर्ग्रन्थी मैथुनभाव से उसका अनुमोदन करे तो उसे गुरुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त आता है। निर्ग्रन्थी को गोचरी, स्थंडिल या स्वाध्याय आदि के लिये अकेले नहीं जाना चाहिये तथा विचरण एवं चातुर्मास भी अकेले नहीं करना चाहिए। निर्ग्रन्थी को वस्त्ररहित होना, पापरहित होना, शरीर को वोसिरा कर रहना, ग्राम के बाहर आतापना लेना नहीं कल्पता है, किन्तु सूत्रोक्त विधि से वह उपाश्रय में प्रातापना ले सकती है। निर्ग्रन्थी को किसी भी प्रकार के आसन से प्रतिज्ञाबद्ध होकर रहना नहीं कल्पता है। आकुचनपट्ट, पालम्बन युक्त आसन, छोटे स्तम्भयुक्त पीढे, नालयुक्त तुम्बा, काष्ठदण्डयुक्त पात्रकेसरिका या पादपोंछन साध्वी को रखना नहीं कल्पता है, किन्तु साधु इन्हें रख सकता है। प्रबल कारण के बिना साधु-साध्वी एक दूसरे के मूत्र को पीने एवं आचमन करने के उपयोग में नहीं ले सकते हैं। साधु-साध्वी रात रखे हुए आहार-पानी औषध और लेप्य पदार्थों को प्रबल कारण के बिना उपयोग में नहीं ले सकते, किन्तु प्रबल कारण से वे उन पदार्थों का दिन में उपयोग कर सकते हैं। परिहारतप वहन करने वाला भिक्षु सेवा के लिये जावे, उस समय यदि वह अपनी किसी मर्यादा का उल्लंघन कर ले तो उसे सेवाकार्य से निवृत्त होने पर अत्यल्प प्रायश्चित्त देना चाहिए। अत्यन्त पौष्टिक आहार आ जाने के बाद साध्वी को अन्य आहार की गवेषणा नहीं करना चाहिए। किन्तु उस आहार से यदि निर्वाह न हो सके, इतनी अल्प मात्रा में ही हो तो पुन: गोचरी लाने के लिये जा सकती है। उपसंहारइस उद्देशक में 45 सूत्र 1-4, 13-14 मैथुनभाव के प्रायश्चित्त का, क्लेश करके आये भिक्षु के प्रति कर्तव्य का,
