प्रकाशकीय पण्णवणा-प्रज्ञापनासूत्र जैन तत्त्वज्ञान का एक विशिष्ट पाकरग्रन्थ है। यह जैसे विशालकाय है, उसी प्रकार गंभीर भी है / तत्त्व का तलस्पर्शी बोध प्राप्त करने के लिए इस पागम का अध्ययन, चिन्तन एवं मनन आवश्यक हो नहीं, अनिवार्य भी कहा जा सकता है। प्रज्ञापनासूत्र 36 पदों में विरचित है। प्रस्तुत संस्करण में मूलपाठ के साथ हिन्दी में अर्थ और स्पष्टीकरण के उद्देश्य से उसका विवेचन भी दिया गया है। इस कारण ग्रन्थ का परिमाण और अधिक बढ़ गया है। मगर इसके विना प्रत्येक पाठक को भूल का आशय हृदयंगम करना संभव न होता। ऐसी स्थिति में इस आगम को तीन खण्डों में प्रकाशित किया जा रहा है। प्रथम खण्ड पहले प्रकाशित हो चुका है / यह दूमग खण्ड पाठकों के हाथों में है। विवेचन आदि की जो पद्धति प्रथम खण्ड में अपनाई गई थी, वही इसमें अपनाई गई है। अन्तिम अर्थात तीसरे खण्ड में भी यही पद्धति रहेगी। विस्तृत प्रस्तावना तथा आवश्यक परिशिष्ट ग्रादि तीसरे खघट में ही दिए जाएंगे। इसके अनुवादक-मम्पादक जैनजगत के विख्यात विद्वान् एवं वक्ता पं. र. श्रीज्ञानमुनिजी महाराज हैं। मुनिश्री के बहुमूल्य सहयोग के लिए समिति अति प्राभारी है। उत्तराध्ययनसूत्र मुद्रित होकर लगभग तैयार हो गया है / व्याख्याप्रज्ञप्ति के मुद्रण का कार्य भी चालू है। प्राशा है ये सब आगम शीघ्र पाठकों की सेवा में प्रेषित किए जा सकेंगे। प्रस्तुत ग्रन्थ के प्रकाशन में विशेष आर्थिक सहयोग माननीय श्री हुक्मीचन्दजी मा. चोरड़िया से प्राप्त हना है। हम उनके प्रति अत्यन्त प्रभारी हैं। अत्यन्त परिताप का विषय है कि प्रागमप्रकाशन की इस माहसघूर्ण विराट योजना के सूत्रधार परमश्रद्धय युवाचार्य श्री मिश्रीमलजी म. सा. 'मधुकर' अब हमारे बीच नहीं हैं, तथापि उनके परोक्ष शुभाशीर्वाद से तथा विदुषी महासती श्री उमरावकुवरजी म.
