508]] [ प्रज्ञापनासूत्र : (8) लोकसंज्ञा-लोक में रूढ़ किन्तु अन्धविश्वास, हिंसा, असत्य आदि के कारण हेय होने पर भी लोकरूदि का अनुसरण करने की प्रबल वत्ति या अभिलाषा अथवा मतिज्ञानावरणीय के क्षयोपशम से संसार के सुन्दर, रुचिकर पदार्थों को (या लोकप्रचलित शब्दों के अनुरूप पदार्थो) को विशेषरूप से जानने की तीव्र अभिलाषा। (10) प्रोघसंज्ञा-बिना उपयोग के (बिना सोचे-विचारे) धुन-ही-धुन में किसी कार्य को करने की वृत्ति या प्रवृत्ति अथवा सनक / जैसे- उपयोग या प्रयोजन के बिना ही यों ही किसी वृक्ष पर चढ़ जाना अथवा बैठे-बंठे पैर हिलाना, तिनके तोड़ना आदि / अथवा मतिज्ञानावरणीय कर्म के क्षयोपशम से संसार के सुन्दर रुचिकर पदार्थों या लोकप्रचलित शब्दों के अनुरूप पदार्थों (अर्थों) को सामान्यरूप से जानने की अभिलाषा / इन दस ही प्रकार की संज्ञाओं में पूर्वोक्त व्युत्पत्तिलभ्य दोनों अर्थ भी घटित हो जाते हैं / उक्त दसों संज्ञाओं में से प्रारम्भ की चार संज्ञाओं में से जिस प्राणी में जिस संज्ञा का बाहुल्य हो, उस पर से उसे जान-पहिचान लिया जाता है / जैसे-नरयिकों को भयसंज्ञा की अधिकता के कारण जान लिया जाता है / अथवा जिसमें जिस प्रकार की अभिलाषा, मनोवृत्ति या प्रवृत्ति हो, उसे वह संज्ञा समझ ली जाती है।' नैरयिकों से वैमानिकों तक में संज्ञानों को प्ररूपरणा 726. नेर इयाणं भंते ! कति सण्णाम्रो पण्णत्ताओ? गोयमा ! दस सण्णाम्रो पण्णत्तायो। तं जहा-पाहारसण्णा 1 भयसण्णा 2 मेहुणसण्णा 3 परिग्गहसण्णा 4 कोहसण्णा 5 माणसण्णा 6 मायासण्णा 7 लोभसण्णा 8 लोगसण्णा प्रोघसण्णा 10 / [726 प्र.] भगवन् ! नै रयिकों में कितनी संज्ञाएँ कही गई हैं ?
