पांचवां विशेषपद (पर्यायपद)] [ 431 से केणठेणं ? गोयमा ! जहन्नगुणसोते दुपएसिए जहण्णगुणसीयस्स दुपएसियस्स दवट्ठयाए तुल्ले, पएसट्टयाए तुल्ले; प्रोगाहणट्टयाए सिय होणे सिय तुल्ले सिय अभहिते-जइ होणे पएसहीणे, अह अब्भहिए पएसमन्भतिए; ठिईए चउढाणवडिए, वरुण-गंध-रसपज्जवेहिं छठ्ठाणडिए, सोतफासपज्जवहिं तुल्ले, उसिण-निद्ध-लुक्खफासपज्जयहिं छट्ठाणडिए / [548-1 प्र.] भगवन् ! जघन्यगुणशीत द्विप्रदेशिक स्कन्धों के कितने पर्याय कहे गए हैं ? [५४८-१उ.] गौतम ! (उनके) अनन्त पर्याय (कहे हैं / ) [प्र.] भगवन् ! किस कारण से ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जघन्यगुणशीत द्विप्रदेशी स्कन्धों के अनन्त पर्याय हैं ? [उ.] गौतम ! एक जघन्यगुण शीत द्विप्रदेशी स्कन्ध, दूसरे जघन्यगुणशीत द्विप्रदेशी स्कन्ध से द्रव्य की अपेक्षा से तुल्य है, प्रदेशों की अपेक्षा से तुल्य है, अवगाहना की अपेक्षा से कदाचित् हीन, कदाचित् तुल्य और कदाचित् अधिक होता है। यदि हीन हो तो एकप्रदेश हीन होता है, यदि अधिक हो तो एकप्रदेश अधिक होता है, स्थिति की अपेक्षा से चतुःस्थानपतित है तथा वर्ण, गन्ध और रस के पर्यायों की अपेक्षा से षट्स्थानपतित है एवं शीतस्पर्श के पर्यायों की अपेक्षा तुल्य है और उष्ण, स्निग्ध तथा रूक्ष स्पर्श के पर्यायों की अपेक्षा से षट्स्थानपतित है। [2] एवं उक्कोसगुणसीए वि। [548-2] इसी प्रकार उत्कृष्टगुणशीत (द्विप्रदेशी स्कन्धों की पर्यायसम्बन्धी वक्तव्यता समझनी चाहिए।) [3] प्रजहण्णमणुक्कोसगुणसीते वि एवं चेव / नवरं सट्ठाणे छट्ठाणवडिए। [548-3] मध्यमगुणशीत (द्विप्रदेशी स्कन्धों) का पर्यायसम्बन्धी कथन भी इसी प्रकार समझना चाहिए। 546. एवं जाव दसपएसिए। नवरं प्रोगाहणट्टयाए पदेसपरिवड्डी कायम्वा जाव दसपएसियस्स णव पएसा वडिज्जति / 549] इसी प्रकार यावत् दशप्रदेशी स्कन्धों तक का (पर्याय-सम्बन्धी वक्तव्य समझ लेना चाहिए।) विशेषता यह है कि अवगाहना की अपेक्षा से पर्यायों की वृद्धि करनी चाहिए। (इस दृष्टि से) यावत् दशप्रदेशी स्कन्ध तक नौ प्रदेश बढ़ते हैं। 550.
