314] [ प्रज्ञापनासूत्र [368-2 प्र.] भगवन् ! अपर्याप्त बादर वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों की स्थिति कितने काल तक की कही है ? [368-2 उ.] गौतम ! उनकी जघन्य स्थिति भी अन्तर्मुहूर्त की है और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति भी अन्तर्मुहूर्त की है। [3] पज्जत्तबादरवणप्फइकाइयाणं पुच्छा। गोयमा ! जहण्णणं अंतोमुहत्त, उक्कोसेणं दस वाससहस्साई अंतोमुत्तूणाई। [368-3 प्र.] भगवन् ! पर्याप्त बादर वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों की स्थिति कितने काल तक की कही गई है ? [368-3 उ.] गौतम ! उनकी जघन्य स्थिति अन्तर्मुहूर्त की है और उत्कृष्ट अन्तर्मुहूर्त कम दस हजार वर्ष की है। विवेचन—एकेन्द्रिय जीवों की स्थिति को प्ररूपणा--प्रस्तुत 15 सूत्रों (सू. 354 से 368 तक) में पृथ्वीकाय से लेकर वनस्पतिकाय तक औधिक, अपर्याप्तक, पर्याप्तक, सूक्ष्म, बादर आदि भेदों की स्थिति की पृथक्-पृथक् प्ररूपणा की गई है। इनमें तेजस्कायिक जीवों की तीन अहोरात्रि की उत्कृष्ट स्थिति बताई गई है, उसका रहस्य यह है कि तेजस्कायिक जीव अग्नि के रूप में जलते और बुझते प्रत्यक्ष दिखाई देते हैं। इसी कारण अन्य एकेन्द्रिय जीवों की अपेक्षा आयुष्य अत्यन्त अल्प है / द्वीन्द्रिय जीवों की स्थिति-प्ररूपरणा 366.
