वैमानिक उद्देशक वैमानिक-वक्तव्यता 198. कहि णं भंते ! बेमाणियाणं विमाणा पण्णता, कहि णं भंते ! वेमाणिया देवा परिवसंति ? जहा ठाणपए सव्व भाणियन्वं नवरं परिसाओ भाणियवाओ जाव अच्चुए, अन्नेसि च बहूणं सोहम्मकप्पवासीणं देवाण य देवीण य जाव विहरति / 198. भगवन् ! वैमानिक देवों के विमान कहां कहे गये हैं ? भगवान् ! वैमानिक देव कहां रहते हैं ? इत्यादि वर्णन जैसा प्रज्ञापनासूत्र के स्थानपद में कहा है, वैसा यहां कहना चाहिए। विशेष रूप में यहां अच्युत विमान तक परिषदाओं का कथन भी करना चाहिए यावत् बहुत से सौधर्मकल्पवासी देव और देवियों का आधिपत्य करते हुए सुखपूर्वक विचरण करते हैं। विवेचन–प्रस्तुत सूत्र में प्रज्ञापनासूत्र के स्थानपद की सूचना की गई है। विषय की स्पष्टता के लिए उसे यहां देना आवश्यक है / वह इस प्रकार है ___ "इस रत्नप्रभापृथ्वी के बहुसमरमणीय भूभाग से ऊपर चन्द्र-सूर्य-ग्रह-नक्षत्र तथा तारारूप ज्योतिष्कों के अनेक सो योजन, अनेक हजार योजन, अनेक लाख योजन, अनेक करोड़ योजन और बहुत कोटाकोटी योजन ऊपर दूर जाकर सौधर्म-ईशान-सनत्कुमार-माहेन्द्र-ब्रह्मलोक-लान्तक-महाशुक्रसहस्रार-प्राणत-पारण-अच्युत-ग्रैवेयक और अनुत्तर विमानों में वैमानिक देवों के चौरासी लाख सत्तानवै हजार तेवीस विमान एवं विमानावास हैं / वे विमान सर्वरत्नमय स्फटिक के समान स्वच्छ, चिकने, कोमल, घिसे हुए, चिकने बनाये हुए, रजरहित, निर्मल, पंकरहित, निरावरण कांतिवाले, प्रभायूक्त, श्रीसम्पन्न, उद्योतसहित प्रसन्नता उत्पन्न करने वाले, दर्शनीय, रमणीय, रूप अप्रतिम सुन्दर हैं। उनमें बहुत से वैमानिक देव निवास करते हैं। वे इस प्रकार हैं--सौधर्म, ईशान, सनत्कुमार, माहेन्द्र, ब्रह्मलोक, लान्तक, महाशुक्र, सहस्रार, प्रानत, प्राणत, पारण, अच्युत, नौ अवेयक और पांच अनुत्तरोपपातिक देव / वे सौधर्म से अच्युत तक के देव क्रमश: 1. मृग, 2. महिष, 3. वराह, 4. सिंह, 5. बकरा (छगल), 6. दर, 7. हय, 8. गजराज 9. भजंग, 10. खडग (गेंडा), 11. वषभ और 12. के प्रकट चिह्न से युक्त मुकुट वाले, शिथिल और श्रेष्ठ मुकुट और किरीट के धारक, श्रेष्ठ कुण्डलों से उद्योतित मुख वाले, मुकुट के कारण शोभयुक्त, रक्त-भाभा युक्त, कमल-पत्र के समान गोरे, श्वेत, सुखद वर्ण-गन्ध-रस-स्पर्श वाले, उत्तम वैक्रिय-शरीरधारी, प्रवर वस्त्र-गन्ध-माल्य-अनुलेपन के धारक, महद्धिक, महाद्युतिमान्, महायशस्वी, महाबली, महानुभाग, महासुखी, हार से सुशोभित वक्षस्थल वाले हैं। कड़े और बाजूबंदों से मानो भुजाओं को उन्होंने स्तब्ध कर रखी हैं, अंगद, कुण्डल आदि आभूषण उनके कपोल को सहला रहे हैं, कानों में कर्णफूल और हाथों में विचित्र करभूषण धारण किये हुए हैं / विचित्र पुष्पमालाएं मस्तक पर शोभायमान हैं। वे कल्याणकारी उत्तम वस्त्र पहने हुए हैं तथा
