(आ) भगवन् ! ज्योतिष्केन्द्र ज्योतिषराज चन्द्र चन्द्रावतंसक विमान में सुधर्मा सभा में चन्द्र नामक सिंहासन पर अपने अन्तःपुर के साथ दिव्य भोगोपभोग भोगने में समर्थ है क्या ? गौतम ! नहीं / वह समर्थ नहीं है। भगवन् ! ऐसा क्यों कहा जाता है कि ज्योतिषराज चन्द्र चन्द्रावतंसक विमान में सुधर्मा सभा में चन्द्र नामक सिंहासन पर अन्त:पुर के साथ दिव्य भोगोषभोग भोगने में समर्थ नहीं है ? गौतम ! ज्योतिष्केन्द्र ज्योतिषराज चन्द्र के चन्द्रावतंसक विमान में सुधर्मा सभा में माणवक चैत्यस्तंभ में वजमय गोल मंजूषानों में बहुत-सी जिनदेव की अस्थियां रखी हुई हैं, जो ज्योतिष्केन्द्र ज्योतिषराज चन्द्र और अन्य बहुत-से ज्योतिषी देवों और देवियों के लिए अर्चनीय यावत् पर्युपासनीय हैं / उनके कारण ज्योतिषराज चन्द्र चन्द्रावतंसक विमान में यावत् चन्द्रसिंहासन पर यावत् भोगोपभोग भोगने में समर्थ नहीं है। इसलिए ऐसा कहा गया है कि ज्योतिषराज चन्द्र चन्द्रावतंसक विमान में सुधर्मा सभा में चन्द्र सिंहासन पर अपने अन्तःपुर के साथ दिव्य भोगोपभोग भोगने में समर्थ नहीं है। गौतम ! दूसरी बात यह है कि ज्योतिषराज चन्द्र चन्द्रावतंसक विमान में सुधर्मा सभा में चन्द्र सिंहासन पर अपने चार हजार सामानिक देवों यावत् सोलह हजार आत्मरक्षक देवों तथा अन्य बहुत से ज्योतिषी देवों और देवियों के साथ घिरा हुआ होकर जोर-जोर से बजाये गये नृत्य में, गीत में, वादित्रों के, तन्त्री के, तल के, ताल के, त्रुटित के, धन के, मृदंग के बजाये जाने से उत्पन्न शब्दों से दिव्य भोगोपभोगों को भोग सकने में समर्थ है। किन्तु अपने अन्तःपुर के साथ मैथुनबुद्धि से भोग भोगने में वह समर्थ नहीं है। 196. (इ) सूरस्स णं भंते ! जोइसिदस्स जोइसरन्नो कइ अग्गम हिसीओ पण्णत्ताओ? गोयमा ! चत्तारि अग्गमहिसीओ पण्णत्ताओ, तं जहा—सूरप्पभा, प्रायवाभा, अच्चिमाली, पभंकरा / एवं अवसेसं जहा चंदस्स गरि सूरडिसए विमाणे सूरंसि सीहासणंसि तहेब सव्वेसि गहाईणं चत्तारि अग्गमाहिसीओ, तं जहा-विजया वेजयंती जयंती अपराइया तेसि पि तहेव / 196.
