तृतीय प्रतिपत्ति : घनोवधिवलय का तिर्यक बाहल्य] [211 संपरिक्खिवित्ता णं चिटुइ, एवं जाव अधेसतमाए पुढवीए घणोदधिवलए; गवरं अप्पणप्पणं पुढवि संपरिक्खिवित्ताणं चिट्ठति। इमोसे गं रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए घणवातवलए किंसंठिए पण्णत्ते? गोयमा ! बट्टे वलयागारे तहेव जाव जे गं इमोसे णं रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए घणोदधिवलयं सवमो समंता संपरिक्खिवित्ताणं चिट्ठा एवं जाव अहेसत्तमाए घणवातवलए। इमोसे गं भंते ! रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए तणुवातवलए किसंठिए पण्णते ? गोयमा ! बट्टे वलयागारसंठाणसंठिए जाव जे णं इमोसे रयणप्पमाए पुढवीए घणवातवलयं सम्वओ समंता संपरिक्खि वित्ताणं चिटुइ / एवं जाव आहेसत्तमाए तणुवातवलए। इमा णं भंते ! रयणप्पभापुढवी केवइ मायामविक्वंमेण पण्णत्ता ? गोयमा ! असंखेज्जाइं जोयणसहस्साई पायामविक्खंभेणं असंखेज्जाइं जोयणसहस्साई परिक्खेवेण पण्णत्ता / एवं जाव अधेसत्तमा। इमा णं भंते ! रयणप्पभा पुढवी अंते य मज्झे य सम्वत्थ समा बाहल्लेणं पण्णता? हंता गोयमा ! इमा णं रयणप्पभापुढवी अंते य मज्ो य सम्वस्थ समा बाहल्लेणं, एवं जाव अधेसतमा। [76-2] हे भगवन् ! इस रत्नप्रभापृथ्वी के छह योजन बाहल्य वाले और बुद्धिकल्पित प्रतरादि विभाग वाले घनोदधिवलय में वर्ण से काले प्रादि द्रव्य हैं क्या? हाँ, गौतम ! हैं। हे भगवन् ! इस शर्कराप्रभापृथ्वी के त्रिभागसहित छह योजन बाहल्य वाले और प्रतरादि विभाग वाले घनोदधिवलय में वर्ण से काले आदि द्रव्य हैं क्या ? हाँ, गौतम ! हैं / इस प्रकार जितना बाहल्य है, वह विशेषण लगाकर सप्तमपृथ्वी के घनोदधिवलय तक कहना चाहिए। हे भगवन् ! इस रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी के साढ़े चार योजन बाहल्य वाले और प्रतरादि रूप में विभक्त धनवातवलय में वर्णादि परिणत द्रव्य हैं क्या? हाँ, गौतम हैं ! इसी प्रकार जिसका जितना बाहल्य है, वह विशेषण लगाकर सातवीं पृथ्वी तक कहना चाहिए। इसी प्रकार तनुवातवलय के सम्बन्ध में भी अपने-अपने बाहल्य का विशेषण लगाकर सप्तम पृथ्वी तक कहना चाहिए। हे भगवन् ! इस रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी के धनोदधिवलय का आकार कैसा कहा गया है ? गौतम ! वर्तुल और वलयाकार कहा गया है, क्योंकि वह इस रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी को चारों ओर से घेरकर रहा हुआ है। इसी प्रकार सातों पृथ्वियों के घनोदधिवलय का आकार समझना चाहिए। विशेषता यह है कि वे सब अपनी-अपनी पृथ्वी को घेरकर रहे हुए हैं /
