[जीवाजीवाभिगमसूत्र [जाव स्त्री का स्त्रीरूप में अवस्थानकाल उत्कर्ष से पूर्वकोटिपृथक्त्व अधिक एक सौ दस पल्योपम कहा गया है, उसकी भावना इस प्रकार है कोई जीव पूर्वकोटि की आयु वाली मनुष्यस्त्रियों में अथवा तियंचस्त्रियों में उत्पन्न हो जाय और वह वहाँ पांच अथवा छह बार उत्पन्न होकर ईशानकल्प की अपरिगृहीता देवी के रूप में पचपन पल्योपम की स्थिति युक्त होकर उत्पन्न हो जाय, वहाँ से प्रायु का क्षय होने पर पुनः मनुष्यस्त्री या तिर्यचस्त्री के रूप में पूर्वकोटि आयुष्य सहित उत्पन्न हो जाय / वहाँ से पुनः द्वितीय बार ईशान देवलोक में 55 पल्योपम की उत्कृष्ट स्थिति वाली अपरिगृहीता देवी बन जाय, इसके बाद अवश्य ही वेदान्तर को प्राप्त होती है / इस प्रकार पांच-छह बार पूर्वकोटि आयु वाली मनुष्यस्त्री या तियंचस्त्री के रूप में उत्पन्न होने का काल और दो बार ईशान देवलोक में उत्पन्न होने का काल 55+55 = 110 पल्योपम-ये दोनों मिलाकर पूर्वकोटि पृथक्त्व एक सौ दस पल्योपम का कालमान होता है / यहाँ पृथक्त्व का अर्थ वहुत बार है / इतने काल के पश्चात् अवश्य ही वेदान्तर होता है। यहाँ कोई शंका कर सकता है कि कोई जीव देवकुरु-उत्तरकुरु आदि क्षेत्रों में तीन पल्योपम प्रायूवाली स्त्री के रूप में जन्म ले तो इससे भी अधिक स्त्रीवेद का अवस्थानकाल हो सकता है। इस शंका का समाधान यह है कि देवी के भव से च्यवित देवी का जीव असंख्यात वर्षायु वाली स्त्रियों में स्त्री होकर उत्पन्न नहीं होता और न वह असंख्यात वर्षायु वाली स्त्री उत्कृष्ट आयु वाली देवियों में उत्पन्न हो सकती है, क्योंकि प्रज्ञापनासूत्र-टीका में कहा गया है--'जतो असंखेज्जवासाउया उक्कोसियं ठिइं न पावेइ' अर्थात् असंख्यात वर्ष की आयुवाली स्त्री उत्कृष्ट स्थिति को प्राप्त नहीं करती / इसलिए यथोक्त प्रमाण ही स्त्रीवेद का उत्कृष्ट अवस्थानकाल है। (2) दूसरी अपेक्षा से स्त्रीवेद का अवस्थानकाल जघन्य एक समय और उत्कृष्ट पूर्वकोटिपृथक्त्व अधिक अठारह पल्योपम है। जघन्य एक समय की भावना प्रथम आदेश के समान है। उत्कृष्ट अवस्थानकाल की भावना इस प्रकार है कोई जीव मनुष्यस्त्री और तिर्यचस्त्री के रूप में लगातार पाँच बार रहकर पूर्ववत् ईशानदेवलोक में दो बार उत्कृष्ट स्थिति वाली देवियों में उत्पन्न होता हुआ नियम से परिगृहीता देवियों में ही उत्पन्न होता है, अपरिगहीता देवियों में उत्पन्न नहीं होता। परिगृहीता देवियों की उत्कृष्ट स्थिति नौ पल्योपम की है, अत: 9+9=18 पल्योपम का ही उसका ईशान देवलोक का काल होता है / मनुष्य, तिर्यंच भव का कालमान पूर्वकोटिपृथक्त्व जोड़ने से यथोक्त पूर्वकोटिपृथक्त्व अधिक 18 पल्योपम का स्त्रीवेद का अवस्थान-काल होता है / 2 / / (3) तीसरी अपेक्षा से स्त्रीवेद का अवस्थानकाल जघन्य एक समय और उत्कर्ष से पूर्वकोटिपृथक्त्व अधिक चौदह पल्योपम है। एक समय की भावना प्रथम आदेश की तरह है। उत्कर्ष की भावना इस प्रकार है-द्वितीय आदेश की तरह कोई जीव पांच छह बार पूर्वकोटि प्रमाण वाली मनुष्यस्त्री या तिर्यंचस्त्री में उत्पन्न हुआ और बाद में सौधर्म देवलोक की सात पल्योपम प्रमाण आयु वाली परिगृहीता देवियों में दो बार देवी रूप में उत्पन्न हो, इस अपेक्षा से स्त्रीवेद का उत्कृष्ट अवस्थान-काल पूर्वकोटिपृथक्त्व अधिक चौदह पल्योपम है / 3 /
