स्वरूप माना जाता है, अतः उसके तीन अध्ययन मिलकर आचारांगसूत्र के अट्ठाईस अध्ययन होते हैं

समवायांगसूत्र के अनुसार आचारप्रकल्प के अट्ठाईस भेद इस प्रकार हैं
१. एक मास का प्रायचित्त, २. एक मास पांच दिन का प्रायश्चित्त, ३. एक मास दस दिन का प्रायश्चित्त । इसी प्रकार पांच दिन बढ़ाते हुये पांच मास तक कहना चाहिये । ( इस प्रकार २५ हुए) २६. उपद्घात-अनुपद्धात, २७. आरोपण, २८. कृत्स्नाकृत्स्न । इन अट्ठाईस अध्ययनों की श्रद्धा, प्ररूपणा आदि में कोई अतिचार लगा हो तो तस्स मिच्छा मि दुक्कडं ।
पापश्रुत के २९ भेद

जो आत्मा को दुर्गति में डालने का कारण हो, उसे 'पाप' कहते हैं, और जो गुरु मुख से सुना जाये उसे 'श्रुत' कहते हैं । इसी प्रकार पापरूप श्रुत को 'पापश्रुत' कहते हैं। वह मुख्यतः उनतीस प्रकार का है. १. उत्पात अपने आप होने वाली रुधिर आदि की वृष्टि का शुभाशुभ बताने वाला निमित्तशास्त्र । २. भौम - भूमिकम्प आदि का फल बताने वाला शास्त्र ।
३. स्वप्नशास्त्र
• स्वप्न का शुभाशुभ फल बताने वाला शास्त्र ।
४. अन्तरिक्षशास्त्र आकाश में होने वाले ग्रहयुद्ध आदि का वर्णन करने वाला शास्त्र ।
