**First Prabhrita - Fifth Prabhrita**
**A** - When the Sun traverses the innermost circle, it covers a distance of one thousand yojanas and thirty-three hundred yojanas, encompassing Jambudvipa. At the time of the Uttarakatthapattas, the day lasts for eighteen muhurtas, while the night lasts for twelve muhurtas.
**B** - When the Sun traverses the outermost circle, it covers a distance of one thousand yojanas and thirty-three hundred yojanas, encompassing the salt ocean. At the time of the Uttarakatthapattas, the day lasts for eighteen muhurtas, while the night lasts for twelve muhurtas.
**2.** Similarly, it should be understood that the Sun covers thirty-four hundred yojanas, thirty-five hundred yojanas, and so on.
**3.** Those who say that the Sun traverses a larger Jambudvipa or ocean, they say that when the Sun traverses the innermost circle, it covers a larger Jambudvipa, and at the time of the Uttarakatthapattas, the day lasts for eighteen muhurtas, while the night lasts for twelve muhurtas.
**4.** Similarly, in the outermost circle, it should be understood that the Sun traverses a larger salt ocean, and the day and night remain the same.
**5.** Those who say that the Sun does not traverse any island or ocean, they say that when the Sun traverses the innermost circle, it does not traverse any island or ocean, and at the time of the Uttarakatthapattas, the day lasts for eighteen muhurtas, while the night lasts for twelve muhurtas.
**6.** Similarly, in the outermost circle, it should be understood that the Sun does not traverse any salt ocean, and the day and night remain the same.
