**The Subtlety of the Moon and Sun**
102. **P.** How is that subtlety? Please explain.
**U.** There are two interpretations here, as follows:
**1.** Some say:
The Moon and Sun are neither
living nor non-living,
neither gross nor subtle,
nor bodies of water, wind, or fire.
They do not have 1. rising, 2. trembling, 3. strength, 4. heroism, 5. activity of merit.
They do not attract lightning, nor thunder, nor clouds.
Even when the wind blows strongly, it attracts lightning, thunder, and clouds. 'Some say this.'

We, however, say:
The Moon and Sun are the great servants, great lords, great powerful, great glorious, great happy, great influential ones of the gods.
