[Surya Prajnapti Sutra]
"Tell me, is the Sun a world with a circular or an elliptical shape?"
"It is a world with a circular shape, not an elliptical one."
"Tell me, what is the diameter and circumference of the Sun?"
"It is said that the diameter of the Sun is countless thousands of yojanas, and its circumference is countless thousands of yojanas."
"Tell me, how many moons and stars adorn the Sun?"
"It is said that countless moons and countless star-clusters adorn the Sun."
In the same way, there are:
1. The Ruya-Gava-world, 2. The Ruya-Gava-ocean,
1. The Ruya-Gava-world with light, 2. The Ruya-Gava-ocean with light.
In the same way, there are three worlds and oceans, up to:
1. The Sun-world, 2. The Sun-ocean,
1. The Sun-world with light, 2. The Sun-ocean with light.
All of these have a diameter and circumference equal to the Ruya-Gava-world.
Now, the Sun-ocean with light is surrounded by a world called Deva, which is circular in shape and completely enclosed.
"Tell me, is the Deva-world circular or elliptical?"
"It is circular, not elliptical."
"Tell me, what is the diameter and circumference of the Deva-world?"
"It is said that the diameter of the Deva-world is countless thousands of yojanas, and its circumference is countless thousands of yojanas."
"Tell me, how many moons and star-clusters adorn the Deva-world?"
