The Moon and Sun are considered grahapatis (lords of planets), while the remaining six are considered grahas (planets). Rahu and Ketu are not considered separate, only Ketu is considered.
There are 88 grahas (planets) as well. Other texts mention nine grahas (planets). Regarding the influence of grahas (planets), the astrologers Vashishtha and Brihaspati have said the following:
Vashishtha - Grahas give kingdom, grahas take away kingdom.
All the three worlds, movable and immovable, are controlled by grahas.
Brihaspati - The entire world is under the influence of grahas, humans and gods are under the influence of grahas.
Time and knowledge are under the influence of grahas, grahas are the givers of the fruits of karma. (32nd Gochar Prakaran - Brihadvaignaranjan, p. 84)
(4) Nakshatra and the group of humans
The word Nakshatra is formed as follows:
1. 'Kshad' means to harm, it is a root word in the Sutra. It is in the Atmanepadi form.
'Shtan' (U. 4/159) 'Nabhranapad' (6/3/75) - This is the nature of the 'Nan' (suffix).
2. 'Nakshati' means to move (Bhava. P. Se.).
'Asi-Nakshati-Yaji-Vadhi-Patibhyo Tran' (U. 3/105) - 'Tran' (suffix) is added to these words.
3. 'Nakshatra' means 'N Kshanoti'. 'Kshanu' means to harm (T. U. Se.) (Shtran) (U. 4/159).
4. 'N Kshatra' - because of divinity, 'Kshatra' means to break.
The one who protects from injury and danger is called 'Kshatra'. The 'duty of protection' of that 'Kshatra' is called 'Kshatra Dharma'. The offspring of Kshatra is called 'Kshatriya'.
- The protectors of this earth are 'Kshatra' and the protectors who reside in the sky are 'Nakshatra'. The relationship between these Nakshatras and the human Kshatra is the Nakshatra relationship.
Out of the 28 Nakshatras, 'Abhijit' Nakshatra is not used in practice, only 27 Nakshatras are used. Each Nakshatra has four charanas (quarters), that is, four aksharas (letters). Thus, there are 108 aksharas (letters) in 27 Nakshatras. When these 108 aksharas (letters) are divided into twelve rashi (signs), each rashi (sign) has 9 aksharas (letters).
Thus, the names of all beings and objects are determined by these 108 aksharas (letters) of 27 Nakshatras and twelve rashi (signs).
This is the trikalik (three-time) relationship between Nakshatra and the group of humans.
These Nakshatras, which are described by eleven names, such as char (moving), sthira (fixed), andha (blind), kana (one-eyed), etc., are the cause of the success of every work.
