4. Lakshana Samvatsara's Characteristics -
_In Lakshana Samvatsara, five types are established, namely - 1. Nakshatra, 2. Chandra, 3. Udu, 4. Aiccha, 5. Abhivaddhiya. 5. Sanichchara Samvatsara's Characteristics -
In Sanichchara Samvatsara, twenty-eight types are established, namely - 1. Abhiyi, 2. Savana, 3. Dhanishtha, 4. Satabhisaya, 5. Puvvapoṭṭavaya, 6. Uttarapoṭṭavaya, 7. Revati, 8. Assiṇi, 9. Bharani, 10. Kattiya, 11. Rohini, 12. Sanṭhaṇā, 13. Adda, 14. Punavassu, 15. Pussa, 16. Asseṣa, 17. Maha, 18. Puvvafagguni, 19. Uttarafagguni, 20. Hatthe, 21. Chitta, 22. Sai, 23. Visaha, 24. Anuraha, 25. Jettha, 26. Mule, 27. Puvvasaḍha, 28. Uttarasadha. In Sanichchara, the entire Nakshatra Mandala is completed in thirty years. Many Nakshatras rise. ||1|| Chandra Samvatsara Lakshana - The moon rises together with the full moon,

There is much rain,
That is called Chandra Samvatsara. ||2|| 3. Udu (Karma) Samvatsara Lakshana -
The uneven ones culminate,
The flowers and fruits are not ripe.
The season does not stay properly,
That is called Karma Samvatsara. ||3|| Aiccha Samvatsara Lakshana -
It gives the taste of earth and water,
And the flowers and fruits in Aiccha.
Even with little rain,
The crops are fully ripened. ||4|| Abhivaddhiya Samvatsara Lakshana -
The Aiccha's influence is seen,
The moments, seconds, and days culminate.
It fills the earth with dust,
That is called Abhivaddhiya. ||5||
