जया णं उत्तरड्ढे बारसमुहुत्ताणंतरे दिवसे भवइ, तया णं दाहिणड्ढे बारसमुहुत्ता राई भवइ।
तया णं जंबुद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पव्वयस्स पुरथिमपच्चत्थिमे णं णेवत्थि पण्णरसमुहुत्ते दिवसे भवइ, णेवत्थि पण्णरसमुहुत्ता राई भवइ। वोच्छिण्णा णं तत्थ राइंदिया पण्णत्ता, समणाउओ! एगे एवमाहसु। वयं पुण एवं वयामो
ता जंबुद्दीवे दीवे सूरिया। उदीण-पाईणमुग्गच्छंति, पाईण-दाहिणमागच्छंति। पाईण-दाहिणमुग्गच्छंति, दाहिण-पडीणमागच्छंति। दाहिण-पडीणमुग्गच्छंति, पडीण-उदीणमागच्छंति। पडीण-उदीणमुग्गच्छंति, उदीण-पाईणमागच्छंति।'
(क) ता जया णं जंबुद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पव्वयस्स दाहिणड्ढे दिवसे भवइ, तया णं उत्तरड्ढेऽवि दिवसे भवइ।
जया णं उत्तरड्ढे दिवसे भवइ, तया णं जंबुद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पव्वयस्स पुरथिम-पच्चित्थमे णं राई भवइ।
(ख) ता जया णं जंबुद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पव्वयस्स पुरथिमे णं दिवसे भवइ, तया णं पच्चत्थिमेऽवि दिवसे भवइ।
