प्रथम वर्ग
दीर्घदन्त सर्वार्थसिद्ध में उत्पन्न हुआ। शेष उत्क्रम से अपराजित आदि में उत्पन्न हुए तथा अभय विजय विमान में उत्पन्न हुआ। शेष वर्णन प्रथम अध्ययन के समान समझ लेना चाहिए।
अभय की विशेषता यह है कि राजगृह नगर, पिता राजा श्रेणिक और माता नन्दादेवी है। शेष वर्णन उक्त प्रकार से ही है ।

"जम्बू ! इस प्रकार श्रमण यावत् निर्वाणसंप्राप्त भगवान् महावीर ने अनुत्तरौपपातिकदशा के प्रथम वर्ग का यह अर्थ कहा है।"
विवेचन - इस सूत्र में प्रथम वर्ग के शेष नौ अध्ययनों का वर्णन किया गया है। इनका विषय भी प्रायः पहले अध्ययन के साथ मिलता-जुलता है। विशेषता केवल इतनी है कि इनमें से सात तो धारिणी देवी के पुत्र थे और वेहल्ल कुमार और वेहायस कुमार चेलणा देवी के तथा अभय कुमार नन्दा देवी उदर से उत्पन्न हुआ था । पहले के पाँचों ने सोलह वर्ष संयम-पर्याय का पालन किया था, तीन ने बारह वर्ष तक और शेष दो ने पाँच वर्ष तक । पहले पाँच अनुक्रम से पाँच अनुत्तर विमानों में उत्पन्न हुए और पिछले उत्क्रम से पाँच अनुत्तर विमानों में । यह इन दश मुनियों के उत्कट संयम पालन का फल है कि वे एकावतारी होकर उक्त विमानों में उत्पन्न हुए । सिद्ध यह हुआ कि सम्यक् चारित्र का पालन करने का सदैव उत्तम फल होता है। उस फल का ही यहाँ सुचारु रूप से वर्णन किया गया है । जो भी व्यक्ति सम्यक् चारित्र का आराधन करेगा वह शुभ फल से वञ्चित नहीं रह सकता । अतः सम्यक्चारित्र प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए उपादेय है।
