[उपासकदशांगसूत्र
पसवाड़े नीचे की ओर क्रमशः संकड़े, देह के प्रमाण के अनुरूप, सुन्दर, सुनिष्पन्न, अत्यन्त समुचित परिमाण में मांसलता लिए हुए मनोहर थे, उनके वक्ष और उदर पर सीधे, समान, संहित--एक दूसरे से मिले हुए, उत्कृष्ट कोटि के, सूक्ष्म--हलके, काले, चिकने, उपादेय-उत्तम, लावण्यमय, रमणीय बालों की पंक्ति थी, उनके कुक्षि-प्रदेश--उदर के नीचे के दोनों पार्श्व मत्स्य और पक्षी के समान सुजात-- सुनिष्पन्न--सुन्दर रूप में रचित तथा पीन--परिपुष्ट थे, उनका उदर मत्स्य के जैसा था, उनके उदर का करण--आन्त्र-समूह शुचि-स्वच्छ-निर्मल था, उनकी नाभि कमल की तरह विकट--गूढ, गंगा के भंवर की तरह गोल, दाहिनी ओर चक्कर काटती हुई तरंगों की तरह घुमावदार, सुन्दर , चमकते हुए सूर्य की किरणों से विकसित होते कमल के समान खिली हुई थी तथा उनकी देह का मध्य भाग त्रिकाष्ठिका, मूसल व दर्पण के हत्थे के मध्य-भाग के समान, तलवार की मूठ के समान तथा उत्तम वज्र के समान गोल और पतला था, प्रमुदित--रोग, शोकादि रहित-- स्वस्थ, उत्तम घोड़े तथा उत्तम सिंह
की कमर के समान उनकी कमर गोल घेराव लिए थी, उत्तम घोड़े के सुनिष्पन्न गुप्तांग की तरह उनका गुह्य भाग था, उत्तम जाति के अश्व की तरह उनका शरीर 'मलमूत्र' विसर्जन की अपेक्षा से निर्लेप था, श्रेष्ठ हाथी के तुल्य पराक्रम और गम्भीरता लिए उनकी चाल थी, हाथी की सूंड की तरह उनकी दोनों जंघाएं सुगठित थीं, उनके घुटने डिब्बे के ढक्कन की तरह निगूढ़ थे--मांसलता के कारण अनुन्नत-- बाहर नहीं निकले हुए थे, उनकी पिण्डलियाँ हरिणी की पिण्डलियों, कुरूविन्द घास तथा कते हुए सूत की गेंढी की तरह क्रमश:उतार सहित गोल थी, उनके टखने सुन्दर, सुगठित और निगूढ थे, उनके चरण--पैर सप्रतिष्ठित--सन्दर रचनायक्त तथा कछवे की तरह उठे हए होने से मनोज्ञ प्रतीत होते थे.उनके पैरों की अंगलियाँ क्रमश: आनपातिक रूप में छोटी-बडी एवं ससंहत--सन्दर रूप में एक दूसरे से सटी हुईं थीं, पैरों के नख उन्नत, पतले, तांबे की तरह लाल, स्निग्ध--चिकने थे, उनकी पगथलियाँ लाल कमल के पत्ते के समान मृदुल, सुकुमार तथा कोमल थीं, उनके शरीर में उत्तम पुरूषों के १००८ लक्षण प्रकट थे, उनके चरण पर्वत, नगर, मगर, सागर तथा चक्र रूप उत्तम चिह्नों और स्वस्तिक मंगल--चिह्नों से अंकित थे, उनका रूप विशिष्ट--असाधारण था, उनका तेज अग्नि की निधूम ज्वाला, विस्तीर्ण विद्युत तथा अभिनव सूर्य की किरणों के समान था, वे प्राणातिपात आदि आस्त्रव-रहित, ममता-रहित थे, अकिंचन थे, भव-प्रवाह को उच्छिन्न कर चुके थे--जन्म-मरण से अतीत हो चुके थे, निरूपलेप--द्रव्य-दृष्टि से निर्मल देहधारी तथा भाव-दृष्टि से कर्मबन्ध के हेतु रूप उपलेप से रहित थे, प्रेम, राग, द्वेष और मोह का नाश कर चुके थे, निर्ग्रन्थ--प्रवचन के उपदेष्टा, धर्मशासन के नायक--शास्ता, प्रतिष्ठापक तथा श्रमण-पति थे, श्रमणवृन्द से घिरे हुए थे, जिनेश्वरों के चौतीस बुद्ध-अतिशयों से तथा पैंतीस सत्य-वचनातिशयों से युक्त थे, आकाशगत चक्र, छत्र [तीन], आकाशगत चंवर, आकाश के समान स्वच्छ स्फटिक से बने पादपीठ सहित सिंहासन, धर्मध्वज--ये उनके आगे चल रहे थे, चौदह हजार साधु तथा छत्तीस हजार साध्वियों से संपरिवृत--घिरे हुए थे, आगे से आगे चलते हुए, एक गांव से दूसरे गांव होते हुए सुखपूर्वक विहार करते हुए, भगवान् वाणिज्यग्राम नगर में दूतीपलाश चैत्य में पधारे। ठहरने के लिए यथोचित स्थान ग्रहण किया, संयम व तप से आत्मा को अनुभावित करते हुए विराजमान हुए-टिके ,परिषद् जुड़ी, राजा जितशत्रु राजा कूणिक
