समवायांगसूत्र जैन सिद्धान्त का कोष-ग्रन्थ है। सामान्य जनों को जैनधर्म से सम्बन्धित विषयों का बोध प्राप्त होता है। शोधार्थियों को अपने अपेक्षित विषयों के लिए उपयोगी आवश्यक संकेत उपलब्ध होने से इस आगम ग्रन्थ का अध्ययन, चिन्तन, मनन अनिवार्य है।
समवायांगसूत्र की प्रतिपादन शैली अनूठी है। इसमें प्रतिनियत संख्या वाले पदार्थों का एक से लेकर सौ स्थान पर्यन्त विवेचन करने के बाद अनेकोत्तरिक वृद्धि समवाय का कथन करने के साथ द्वादशांग गणिपिटक एवं विविध विषयों के परिचय का समावेश किया गया है।
श्री आगम प्रकाशन समिति ने स्मरणीय उद्देश्य को ध्यान में रखकर आगमों के प्रकाशन का कार्य प्रारम्भ किया था। पूज्य स्व. स्वामीजी श्री ब्रजलालजी म. की प्रेरणा और स्व. युवाचार्य श्री मधुकरमुनिजी म.सा. के दिशा-निर्देश एवं अन्यान्य विद्वद्वर्य मुनिराजों, विद्वानों के सहयोग से समिति दिनानुदिन अपने लक्ष्य की ओर प्रगति करती रही है। पाठकों की संख्या में वृद्धि होती जाने से अभी
काशित अनेक ग्रन्थों के द्वितीय संस्करण भी अप्राप्य जैसे हो गये। अतः पाठकों की उत्तरोत्तर मांग बढ़ते जाने से ग्रन्थों के तृतीय संस्करण प्रकाशित करने का निश्चय किया गया है।
अभी तक आचारांगसूत्र भाग-१, २ व ज्ञाताधर्मकथांग, उपासकदशांग, अन्त:कृद्दशांग, अनुत्तरोपपातिक सत्र के द्वितीय संस्करणं अप्राप्य हो जाने से पनर्मद्रण हो चका है और समवायांगसत्र का यह तर्त संस्करण है। शेष ग्रन्थों का भी समयानुसार तृतीय संस्करण प्रकाशित किया जायेगा। जिससे पूरी आगम बत्तीसी सभी ग्रन्थ भंडारों आदि में संकलित हो सके एवं स्वाध्यायप्रेमी सज्जन लाभ ले सकें।
यद्यपि लागत व्यय में वृद्धि होने से ग्रन्थों का मूल्य कुछ बढ़ाना पड़ा है, परन्तु यह मूल्यवृद्धि भी लागत से कम और न कुछ जैसी है।
अन्त में आगमप्रकाशन कार्य के लिए अपने सभी सहयोगियों का सधन्यवाद आभार मानते हैं।

This is the third edition of the **Samavayanga Sutra**. The third editions of the remaining books will also be published in due course. This will enable all 32 Agam texts to be collected in libraries and other repositories, so that self-study enthusiasts can benefit.

Although the cost of production has increased, the price of the books has been increased slightly. However, this price increase is still less than the cost.
