VASANT PANCHAMI Acharya Dinesh Mishra -A scholar from India
Vasant Panchami is one of most auspicious festivals of the year in Vedic literature. This is also known as Shri Panchami. This is the time whe spring starts in most of the world including India. Spring is considered to be the best season of the year. In Srimad Bhagvad Geeta, Lord Krishna has said, 'I am Spring season among all seasons".

Then life begins to be lived in affluence , peace, progress and harmony free from all problems. These are the symptoms of heavenly life. This beautiful goal to live a heavenly life is achieved by enlivening the vibrations of Goddess Saraswati on the occasion of Vasant Panchami.
The pure knowledge embodied in Saraswati comprises of Vedic literature. Vedic literature includes Four Vedas, namely Rik, Sam, Yajur, and Atharva Veda; Upanishads, Arnanyakas, Brahmans, six Vedangas, namely Shiksha, Kalpa, Vyakaran, Nirukta, Chhandas, and Jyotish; Six Upangas, namely, Nyay, Vaisheshik, Sankhya, Yoga, Karma Meemansa and Vedant; Itihasas- Ramayan and Mahabharat; Puranas (18) Bhagwat Puran etc.; Smrities (18), Manu Smrity etc.; Upvedas- Ayurved (Charak Samhita, Sushrut Samhita, Vaghbhatt Samhita, Kashyat Samrhita), Gandharva Veda (Classical music, dance, etc.), Dhanurva, Sthapatya Veda; Six Pratishakhyas, namely Rigveda Pratishakhya, Samveda Pratishakhya, Krishna Yajurveda Pratishakhya, Shuklayajurved - Pratishakhya, Atharv Veda Pratishakhya and Chaturaddhayi.
