55555555555555555555555555555555558 ॐ वहाँ अनेक वाणव्यन्तर देव एवं देवियाँ आश्रय लेते हैं, शयन करते हैं, खड़े होते हैं, बैठते हैं, देह ॥
को दायें-बायें घुमाते हैं-मोड़ते हैं, रमण करते हैं, मनोरंजन करते हैं, क्रीड़ा करते हैं, सुरत-क्रिया के
करते हैं। यों वे अपने पूर्व कृत शुभ, कल्याणकर-पुण्यात्मक कर्मों के फलस्वरूप विशेष सुखों का 卐 उपभोग करते रहते हैं।
उस जगती के ऊपर पद्मवरवेदिका के भीतर एक विशाल वनखण्ड है। वह कुछ कम दो योजन ॐ चौड़ा है। उसकी परिधि वेदिका जितनी है। वह कृष्ण, कृष्ण-आभामय, नील, नील-आभामय, हरित, ॐ हरित-आभामय, शीतल, शीतल-आभामय, स्निग्ध, स्निग्ध-आभामय, तीव्र, तीव्र-आभामय, कृष्ण,
कृष्ण-छायामय, नील, नील-छायामय, हरित, हरित-छायामय, शीतल, शीतल-छायामय, स्निग्ध, स्निग्ध-छायामय, तीव्र, तीव्र-छायामय, वृक्षों की शाखा-प्रशाखाओं के परस्पर मिले होने से सघन छायामय, रम्य एवं विशाल मेघ-समुदाय जैसा भव्य तथा तृणों के शब्द से रहित है-शान्त है। (पद्मवरवेदिका का विस्तृत वर्णन जीवाभिगमसूत्र, में देखें।)
6. In that garden there is an extremely beautiful well levelled area. It is levelled like the leather on a drum. It is shining due to beads of five colours and foliage embellishing it of many types. They have their specific colours such as black and the like, special fragrance, taste, touch 41 and sounds. There are lakes, hills, canopies and stone-benches.
Many Vyantar demi-gods and goddesses take rest there, sleep there, stand there, sit there, move their body to the right and to the left, bend their body, play and enjoy themselves. Thus as a result of the fruit of their meritorious Karmas of earlier life-spans, they enjoy themselves.
At the top of that wall (Jagati) and within the said padmavar-vedika, there is a grand garden which is a little less than two yojans wide. Its circumference is the same as that of the Vedika. It is black, shedding black aura, blue, shedding blue aura, green, shedding green aura; cool, spreading cool shade, soft, shedding soft shade, sharp, shedding sharp shade; since branches and sub-branches of the trees are intermingled, it produces dense shade. It is beautiful and well spread. It looks pleasant like a chain of clouds. It is free from any noise of the hay (The detailed description of padmavar-vedika can be seen in Jivabhigam Sutra)
जम्बूद्वीप के द्वार THE GATES OF JAMBUDVEEP 卐 ७.[प्र. ] जंबुद्दीवस्स णं भंते ! दीवस्स कइ दारा पण्णत्ता ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! चत्तारि दारा पण्णत्ता, तं जहा-विजए, वेजयंते, जयंते, अपराजिए।
७. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! जम्बूद्वीप के कितने द्वार हैं ? ___ [उ. ] गौतम ! जम्बूद्वीप के चार द्वार हैं-(१) विजय, (२) वैजयन्त, (३) जयन्त, तथा (४) अपराजित।
