गौतम ! जैसे अग्नि से दग्ध-सर्वथा जले हुए बीजों की पुनः अंकुरों के रूप में उत्पत्ति नहीं होती, उसी प्रकार कर्म - बीज सम्पूर्ण रूप में दग्ध होने के कारण सिद्धों की भी फिर जन्मोत्पत्ति नहीं होती । गौतम ! मैं इसी आशय से यह कह रहा हूँ कि सिद्ध सादि, अपर्यवसित होते हैं।
154. Bhante ! Why do you say that they, located at the edge of the universe (as mentioned in the preceding aphorism), are with a beginning (saadi) in context of the moment of attaining liberation; without an end (aparyavasit).... and so on up to.... These perfect souls eternally remain in the aforesaid form?
Gautam ! Seeds burnt in fire cannot germinate. In the same way, as the seeds of karmas in case of Siddhas (perfected beings) are completely burnt, they are not born again. So Gautam ! I say that they, located at the edge of the universe (as mentioned in the preceding aphorism), are with a beginning (saadi) in context of the moment of attaining liberation; without an end (aparyavasit)... and so on up to... These perfect souls eternally remain in the aforesaid form.
सिद्ध होते जीव के संहनन संस्थान आदि
१५५. जीवा णं भंते ! सिज्झमाणा कयरंमि संघयणे सिज्झति ?
गोयमा ! वइरोस भणारायसंघयणे सिज्झति ।
१५५. भगवन् ! सिद्ध अवस्था प्राप्त होते हुए जीव किस संहनन में सिद्ध होते हैं ? गौतम ! वे वज्र - ऋषभनाराच संहनन में सिद्ध होते हैं ।
CONSTITUTION AND STRUCTURE
155. Bhante ! In which constitution (samhanan) do the beings destined to be Siddhas (perfected beings) attain perfection?
Gautam! They attain perfection in vajra-rishabh-narach samhanan (a specific type of constitution of human body where the joints are perfect and strongest).
१५६. जीवा णं भंते! सिज्झमाणा कयरंमि संठाणे सिज्यंति ? गोमा ! छण्हं संठाणाणं अण्णयरे संठाणे सिज्झति ।
