१३६. गौतम ! क्या समस्त जम्बूद्वीप उन सुगन्धित घ्राण पुद्गल परमाणुओं से स्पृष्ट होता है; भरा जाता है ?
हाँ, भगवन्, ऐसा होता है ।
136. Gautam ! Is the whole Jambudveep enveloped by those ultimate smell particles of matter?
Yes, Bhante! It is.
१३७. छउमत्थे णं गोयमा ! मणुस्से तेसिं घाणपोग्गलाणं किंचि वण्णेणं वण्णं जाव जाणइ पासइ ?
भगवं ! णो इणट्टे समट्ठे ।
१३७. गौतम ! क्या छद्मस्थ मनुष्य उन घ्राणग- पुद्गलों को वर्ण रूप से वर्ण आदि को किंचित् रूप में भी जान पाता है ? देख पाता है ?
भगवन् ! ऐसा सम्भव नहीं है ।
137. Is it possible for a chhadmasth (one who is short of omniscience due to residual karmic bondage) to experience and know the appearance... and so on up to ... touch of those ultimate smell particles of matter?
No, Bhante ! It is not possible.
१३८. से तेणट्टेणं गोयमा ! एवं वुच्चइ छउमत्थे णं मणुस्से तेसिं णिज्जरापोग्गलाणं णो किंचि वण्णं वण्णं जाव जाणइ, पासइ ।
१३८. गौतम ! इसी अभिप्राय से यह कहा जाता है कि छद्मस्थ मनुष्य उन खिरे हुए पुद्गलों के वर्ण रूप से वर्ण आदि को जरा भी नहीं जानता, नहीं देखता ।
138. Gautam ! For the same reason it is said that it is not possible at all for a chhadmasth (one who is short of omniscience due to residual karmic bondage) to experience and know the appearance, smell, taste and touch of the matter particles so shed and scattered in the form of appearance, smell, taste and touch.
१३९. एए सुहुमा णं ते पोग्गला पण्णत्ता, समणाउसो ! सव्वलोयं पि य णं ते फुसित्ताणं चिट्ठति ।
