इस शोक - मय समाचार को पाकर प्रायः बाहर के दो हजार श्रावक आपकी अन्त्येष्टि क्रिया के लिए लुधियाना पहुंचे । तब आपके शव को स्नानादि क्रियाएं करा कर एक अत्यन्त सुन्दर विमान पर लिटाया गया । लुधियाना शहर की सारी जनता और बाहर के श्रावकों ने आप का अन्तिम दर्शन किया । दर्शक लोग विस्मित इस बात पर कि इस समय भी आपका मस्तिष्क लाली से चमक रहा था और सारे मुख पर तेज के चिन्ह विराजमान थे, मृत्यु का एक भी चिन्ह इस पर नहीं था । आपके विमान के आगे भजन - मण्डलियां भजन गा रही थीं। साथ में तीन बाजे बज रहे थे। इस शव पर ८१ दुशाले पड़े हुए थे । जिस समय शव श्मशान भूमि में पहुंचा, उस समय इसके साथ लगभग १० हजार से अधिक आदमी थे । आपके शव का दाह सोलह मन चन्दन की लकड़ी से किया गया। दो मन के करीब इस चिता में छुहारे आदि मेवे डाले गये । इस प्रकार बड़े समारोह से आपका अन्तिम संस्कार हुआ । इसमें बहुत से जैनेतर लोग भी सम्मिलित हुए । फिर तीसरे दिन आपकी अस्थियां श्मशान घाट से लाई गईं ।
अन्त में जिन भावों को लेकर आपने दीक्षा ग्रहण की थी, उन्हीं भावों से आपने मृत्यु प्राप्त की । आपकी मृत्यु से पंजाब श्री संघ को एक अमूल्य रत्न की हानि हुई । मृत्यु के समय आपकी अवस्था ८१ वर्ष ६ महीने की थी । आपने अपने जीवन के ५५ वर्ष ५ मास और १२ दिन साधु -वृत्ति में व्यतीत किये । आपका शिष्य - वृन्द इस समय भी उन्नत दशा में है । आपके शिष्य श्री श्रीश्री १००८ गणावच्छेदक जयरामदास जी महाराज हैं । उन्होंने या उनके शिष्य - प्रवर्तक श्री स्वामी शालिग्राम जी महाराज ने तथा अन्य साधुओं ने आपकी सेवा से अत्यन्त लाभ उठाया । इन सब मुनियों ने आपके वियोग से सन्तप्त जनता के हृदयों को सत्य उपदेशों से शान्त किया ।
