होने पर भी रोग शान्त नहीं हुआ । यह समाचार पाकर आपने नाभा से विहार किया और बरनाला मण्डी पहुंच कर उक्त मुनि को दर्शन दिये । जब मुनि जी का स्वर्गवास हो गया, तब आपने बहुत से भाइयों की विज्ञप्ति होने पर लुधियाना के चातुर्मास की विनती स्वीकार कर ली । तदनुसार १६७३ का चातुर्मास आपने लुधियाना में ही किया ।
चातुर्मास के अनन्तर जब आप विहार के लिए तैयार हुए तो लुधियाना-निवासी श्रावक-मण्डल ने आप से निवेदन किया कि हे भगवन् ! आपका शरीर अब बिलकुल ही निर्बल हो गया है । श्वास के कारण अब अपने जंघा-बल से चल भी नहीं सकते । यह भी अनुचित प्रतीत होता है कि आप अब एक गांव से दूसरे गांव डोली बनाकर विहार करें । अतः हमारी यही प्रार्थना है कि आप अब इसी स्थान पर स्थिर वास रहने की कृपा करें | श्री १००८ आचार्य-वर्य मोतीराम जी महाराज के समान ही आपकी भी इस शहर पर अतल कपा है । अतः आप अवश्य अब यहां पर स्थिर-निवास कर लें । श्रावकों का इस प्रकार आग्रह देखकर श्री महाराज ने उनकी विज्ञप्ति स्वीकार कर ली और तदनुसार लुधियाना में ही विराजमान हो गये ।
जब से आपने लुधियाना शहर में स्थिर-निवास किया, तभी से वहां अनेक धार्मिक कार्य होने लगे । आपने सब से पहले शास्त्रीय पुस्तकों के प्रकाशन के लिए आयोजना की । यहां एक युवक-मण्डल की स्थापना हुई । आपके स्थिर-निवास से यहां अनेक श्रावक, श्राविकाएं, साधु और साध्वियां आने लगे।
संवत् १६७६ में आपकी आंखों में मोतिया उतरने लगा | तब श्रीमान डाक्टर मथुरादास जी, मोगा निवासी की सम्मति के अनुसार आप को साधु-वस्त्र की डोली में बैठा कर मोगा मण्डी में ले गये । डाक्टर साहब ने बड़े प्रेम से आप की आंखों की चिकित्सा की और आपकी आंखों से मोतिया निकल गया । फलतः आपकी दृष्टि ठीक हो गई । यह सब हो जाने पर आपको फिर साधु-वस्त्र की डोली में बैठा कर लुधियाना में ही ले आए । आपके लुधियाना में निवास से नगरनिवासी प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के मुख पर प्रसन्नता दिखाई देती थी।
