'कथा-राजकथादि, अधिकरणानि-यन्त्रादीनि कलहादीनि वा' अन्य तीर्थों के नाश के लिए पुनः-२ कलहादि का प्रयोग करता है वह महा-मोहनीय कर्म की उपार्जना करता है । क्योंकि सूत्र में लिखा है 'सर्वतीर्थभेदाय-सर्वेषां तीर्थानां-ज्ञानादिमुक्तिमार्गाणां भेदाय-सर्वथा नाशाय प्रवर्तमानः । ज्ञानादीनि हि संसार-सागर-तरण-कारणानि' अर्थात् मुक्ति की ओर ले जाने वाले जितने भी ज्ञानादि तीर्थ हैं, उक्त कथाओं में बार-२ प्रवृत्त होने से उनका नाश होता है और आत्मा महा-मोहनीय कर्म के बन्धन में आ जाता है |
किन्तु यह दण्ड-विधान केवल 'अनर्थ-दण्ड' अर्थात् बिना किसी प्रयोजन के केवल मनोविनोद के लिए किये जाने वाले हिंसादि कुकृत्यों के लिए है । क्योंकि गृहस्थ के 'अर्थ-दण्ड' अर्थात् अपने शरीर की रक्षा के लिए किये जाने वाले कर्मों का त्याग नहीं होता किन्तु साधु के लिए दोनों 'दण्डों' का प्रत्याख्यान है । अतः यदि साधु किसी प्रयोजन से भी और गृहस्थ 'अनर्थ-दण्ड' के आश्रित होकर अथवा केवल मोक्ष मार्ग के नाश के लिए उक्त क्रियाएं करता है तो अवश्य ही उक्त कर्म के बन्धन में आ जायगा, क्योंकि उक्त क्रियाओं के करने से वह अपने आपको और दूसरों को दुर्गति की ओर ले जाता है ।
इस सूत्र से प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को शिक्षा लेनी चाहिए कि हिंसा-प्रतिपादक तथा काम-शास्त्रादि ग्रन्थों का उपदेश करना पाप-पूर्ण होने से भव्य आत्माओं के लिए हेय (त्याज्य) है |
अब सूत्रकार सत्ताईसवें स्थान में भी उक्त विषय के सम्बन्ध में ही कहते हैं:जे अ आहम्मिए जोए संपउंजे पुणो पुणो । सहा-हेउं सही-हेउं महामोहं पकुव्वइ ।।२७।। यश्चाधार्मिकं योगं संप्रयुङ्क्ते पुनः-पुनः । श्लाघा-हेतोः सखी-हेतोर्महामोहं प्रकुरुते ।।२७।।
पदार्थान्वयः-जे-जो कोई आहम्मिए–अधार्मिक जोए-योग-वशीकरणादि का पुणो-पुणो-बार-बार सहा-हेउं–श्लाघा के लिए अ-तथा सही-हेउं-मित्रता के लिए संपउंजे-प्रयोग करता है वह महामोह-महा-मोहनीय कर्म की पकुव्वइ-उपार्जना करता

"If someone repeatedly uses stories, tales of kings, arguments, devices, quarrels, etc. to destroy other Tirthankaras, they acquire the Maha-Mohaniya Karma. Because the Sutra states: 'Sarva Tirtha Bhedaya - Sarvesham Tirthanam - Jnanadi Mukti Marganam Bhedaya - Sarvatha Nashaya Pravartamanah. Jnanadi hi Samsara Sagar Taran Karanani.' Meaning, all the Tirthankaras, including knowledge and other paths leading to liberation, are destroyed by repeatedly engaging in such stories, and the soul becomes bound by the Maha-Mohaniya Karma."

Therefore, if a Sadhu engages in these actions for any purpose, or a householder engages in them under the influence of 'Anarth-Danda,' or simply to destroy the path to liberation, they will inevitably be bound by the karma.
